The Kentucky Thoroughbreds hired their new coach for the 2014 season. JJ Fayed former Head Coach of the Utah Argos of the Professional Developmental Football League will take the reigns of the “Breds” this season.
“I am pleased to be chosen as the leader of this fine organization, I think we are going to have a great season” Fayed went on to say “I am excited for the challenge of not only developing these young men on and off the field”.
Fayed’s will bring a “tough football” philosophy to the Thoroughbreds this season. When asked what his motto is to the players he gave a knowingly grin and simply replied “Play smart, play physical”. Simple but effective, Fayed has had the pleasure of winning two Minor League National Championships as an Offensive Coordinator and shared success in two European Leagues in Germany and Finland.
Coach Fayed has spent time working with NFL, CFL, Professional Indoor and top European teams. With the season coming soon a search for the right coaches to round out the staff has already begun.
“We have some good solid candidates in mind for all positions” Coach Fayed had to say of his potential staff. “Offers have been made and we are waiting to hear their response, after we get more information we will be able to make a decision on who will be working with these guys”
Fayed added “it’s my job to make sure we have the right people in place for us to have a successful season this decision is not to be taken lightly, carefully we will evaluate all of our options and make the moves that are best for the success of the club and the league”
When asked about the players and talent pool for the Thoroughbreds “We are looking for players that will help us achieving excellence for our program, a team oriented mentality is the most important quality we can hope to find”
The National Spring Football League is a Spring Developmental League that will start play this season. The Kentucky Thoroughbreds are based out of Lexington, Kentucky. Each team will carry a 55 man roster. The NSFL is a professional league in which all players will be paid to play football for the purpose of gaining exposure and honing their skills with top coaches around the country.
